We continue to thank you for your patience during these unsettling times, and we want to remind you that we are here for you and remain ready to serve your needs.

The health and safety of our members and employees continues to be our #1 priority. As many state and local jurisdictions begin to ease restrictions, we are working to put measures into place to safely reopen our office lobbies. In the meantime, we continue to offer full service through our drive-thru lanes at all Point Breeze locations, our call center and online service delivery channels. Additionally, you continue to have 24/7 access to ATMs at all Point Breeze locations and nearly 30,000 surcharge-free CO-OP® Network ATMs across the nation.

Our free online and mobile services enable easy, reliable access to your accounts 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We encourage you to take full advantage of these services, so you can easily manage your finances while practicing social distancing and keeping yourselves and your family safe from the threat of COVID-19.

During the past few months, we have been able to help many of our members who have experienced financial stress as a result of COVID-19. If you’ve been financially impacted by COVID-19, we encourage you to contact us at 410.584.7228, or send us a secure message through online banking or our mobile app, to discuss how we might be able to help you. We have easy, affordable loans available to help you through this crisis. We have also created a new “COVID-19 Assistance Loan” to assist those members who have immediate life-sustaining needs.

Finally, as a friendly reminder, please be on the lookout for fraudulent scams seeking to use COVID-19 fears as a cover to steal your personal information and your money. We encourage you to stay vigilant and be extremely cautious when sharing your personal information. You can find helpful information on what to look for and how to protect yourself from these scams on the Point Breeze Blog and Security Center on our website.

Please take care of yourselves and those around you, and do not hesitate to contact us for any of your financial needs. We thank you for being a part of our Point Breeze family.

May 15, 2020 - covid-19 update for point breeze members
Dear Valued Point Breeze Members:

The last number of weeks have been difficult for everyone as we all learn to cope with the unique and challenging impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. We continue to thank you for your patience during these unsettling times and we want to remind you that we are here for you and remain ready to serve your needs.

Earlier this week, Governor Hogan announced he is lifting the stay-at-home order and moving to a “safer-at-home advisory” for Marylanders starting at 5:00 p.m. today. While we are optimistic about the opportunity for our community to cautiously and safely begin the first phase of our recovery, our top priority remains the health and well-being of Point Breeze members and employees.

At this time, the lobby areas at all Point Breeze locations will remain closed while we continue to implement plans for a safe re-opening that promotes social distancing and follows the safety guidelines set by state and federal authorities.

Our drive-thru lanes at all Point Breeze offices and our Call Center remain open and ready to serve your needs, and you continue to have 24/7 access to ATMs at all Point Breeze locations and nearly 30,000 surcharge-free CO-OP Network ATMs across the nation.

Additionally, our extensive offering of free online and mobile services enables easy, reliable access to your accounts 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We encourage you to continue taking full advantage of these services so you can easily manage your finances while staying “safer-at-home.”

While we prepare to safely re-open our lobbies, please know that our commitment to delivering an easy, reliable banking experience has never been stronger and every decision is made with the health and wellness of our members and employees in mind. We appreciate your understanding and kindness as we navigate how to best serve our members and our community during this challenging time.

Please take care of yourselves and those around you, and do not hesitate to contact us for any assistance.

Sincerely,

April 23, 2020 - Help Keep your accounts safe
Sadly, scammers are taking full advantage of fears surrounding the Coronavirus. As your credit union, we care about your security and want to help you protect yourself from becoming a victim of these often very convincing scams.

Here are some things you can do to help protect yourself and your money:
  • Never give out personal information by phone, text or email, even if the source appears legitimate. Point Breeze Credit Union will never call, email or otherwise contact you and ask for your username, password or other online banking credentials. In addition, we will never contact you and ask for your credit or debit card number, PIN or 3-digit security code.
  • Monitor your accounts for suspicious activity. Utilize online or mobile banking to review transactions regularly and set up alerts to notify you of certain account activity.
  • Report suspected fraud immediately. If you're concerned about your account or suspect fraud, contact us directly at 410.584.7228 or send us a secure message through online banking or our mobile app.
  • Do your research. Learn more about Coronavirus Scams and how to protect yourself by visiting ftc.gov/coronavirus. You can also find more helpful tips for keeping your accounts safe in the Point Breeze Security Center and on our Blog.
Scammers are always looking for opportunities to scam or trick people into giving up important information. These impostors are smart, and they are able to “look official” and deceive the best of us. The best line of defense is to educate yourself, be vigilant and be extremely cautious about sharing personal information.
